This afternoon a cold front will be across central or even portions of southern Indiana with isolated thunderstorms mainly across the northern sections and hot with highs in the low 90′s maybe approaching the mid 90′s. If any storm pops up it could be strong to severe.
Saturday/Sunday…quite hot with high temperatures in the mid to possibly upper 90′s not out of the question that a spot or two could hit 100 degrees on Sunday. Humidity levels will make it feel even hotter over 100 degrees so use caution if outdoors to protect yourselves from the heat.
Memorial day hot with highs at least into the low 90′s possibly hotter and by afternoon scattered t-storms possible. Any storms could be strong to severe. Monday night scattered t-storms.
Tuesday looks like the best shot at thunderstorms any these could be strong to severe.
Wednesday looks dry for now.
Thursday…by next Thursday night according to the GFS a line of storms will be moving through heavy rainfall looks possible. This weather looks to occur ahead of a strong cold front.
Next Friday chance for rain and thunderstorms.

Mini heat wave on the way…
This afternoon highs warm into the 80′s possibly approaching 90 degrees across the west.
Friday high temperatures from 90-95 degrees.
Weekend…GFS forecasting 92-97 degrees but humidity will make it feel even hotter over 100 degrees.
Memorial day continued hot with highs into the low 90′s it looks like.
Precipitation…
Will go drier for Friday with only about a 14% chance for any t-storms. Sunday will also lower precipitation chances with only widely isolated t-storms forecast at this time…Memorial day will continue with isolated to scattered thunderstorms. But the better chance for scattered thunderstorms looks to arrive late Memorial day through Tuesday night…Can’t rule out some stronger storms maybe isolated severe for Monday/Tuesday.
Another chance for rain and thunderstorms looks to arrive a week from now next Thursday.

Hot Memorial day weekend expected…
A hot airmass continues to be advertised for Friday through Memorial day…
Friday high temperatures in the low 90′s GFS 93 degrees climbing to near 20 degrees Celsisus 850 MB for the weekend. This translates to mid 90′s possibly as high as 97 degrees for highs for the weekend Sat/Sunday. Memorial day GFS forecasts highs in the low 90′s…Factor in increasing humidity with dewpoints in the upper 60′s over the weekend and around 70 degrees on Memorial day will make for a quite hot forecast with heat index readings as high as 100-104 degrees over the weekend and near 100 degrees for Memorial day. Use caution to protect yourselves from the heat this upcoming Memorial day weekend. Near record highs possible more typical of July.
Tuesday highs cool to the 80′s and perhaps 70′s to around 80 degrees next Wednesday.
Thunderstorm chances…
GFS advertises scattered thunderstorms on Friday but feel this is a bit overdone although Canadian has t-storms too for Friday. Will play it safe and go with isolated thunderstorm chances for Friday…Saturday a stray thunderstorm possible…Sunday scattered afternoon/evening thunderstorms possible and if they occur they could be strong to severe…Monday isolated to scattered thunderstorms ahead of the next cold front and again any storms that manage to occur couyld be severe…Tuesday scatterred thunderstorms and these could be strong…Next Wednesday slight chance for thunderstorms.

Some areas of fog tonight with lows in the low to mid 50′s.
Wednesday highs near 80. Thursday highs into the 80′s.
Temperatures gradually on the increase but 90′s kick in Friday.
Friday isolated thunderstorms with the best chance of any storms at all across the north. If any thunderstorms would happen to pop up they could easily go severe. But, coverage is in question. Friday’s high reaching low 90′s at least.
Weekend…very hot and mostly dry with high temperatures from the low to mid 90′s and possibly a few upper 90 degree readings as GFS coming in with 92-99 degrees potential. Humidity levels will make it feel even hotter. Use caution from the heat if planning outdoor activities. Near record high temperatures possible.
Memorial day hot and humid with isolated thunderstorms ahead of the next frontal boundary and highs in the low 90′s. If any t-storms would pop up they could be severe.
Tuesday scattered thunderstorms possibly severe with highs near 90.
Next Wednesday a chance for mainly morning t-storms with highs from the 80′s north to low 90′s south.

Hot memorial day weekend…
Models still confident in high temperatures in the low 90′s on Friday rising to at least the mid 90′s for the weekend and low 90′s for Memorial day for the ridge breaks down. Record highs are still possible. Sunday looks like the hottest day when we combine the humidity to make it feel even hotter.
Next significant chance for precip arrives later on Memorial day and next Tuesday as a cold front works in from the NW. At that time we could be looking at some strong to severe weather.

A cold front is moving through the region with isolated to scattered thunderstorms expected to occur through this evening. SPC still has us under a 5% limited severe weather risk for mainly strong gusty to isolated damaging winds in the strongest storms.
Tuesday cooler and some models indicate moisture will be slow to leave so a few clouds may persist especially Tuesday morning but look for some clearing to possibly clear skies across the west to party cloudy skies eastern sections with just a very slight chance for showers across the very eastern sections on Tuesday. Enjoy the cooler readings while they last.
Wednesday slightly warmer.
Thursday a few degrees warmer still with highs approaching 90 degrees.
Friday begins a mini heat wave as the heat ridge builds in. GFS forecast highs upwards of the mid 90′s for Friday.
Saturday/Sunday weekend forecast…GFS forecasting dry and hot! The weekend should experience the hottest temperatures with highs into the mid 90′s and possible a few upper 90′s not out of the question. The places that receive little or no rain early this week may experience the hottest high temperatures. Record high tempes are possible. Humidity levels will also increase especially Sunday. The weekend is shaping up to be mostly dry and quite hot with solid 90′s for highs and heat index values possible reaching or exceeding 100 degrees. Canadian model hints at a possible thunderstorm complex to drop SE to ride the ring of fire possibly clipping the nrthern sections of south central Indiana, otherwise dry conditions expected.
Memorial day if the clouds hold bay we could see mid 90′s for highs and opressive humidity levels. GFS model indicates some potential for relief from the heat in the form of scattered thunderstorms on Memorial day. If storms develop we could be looking at a few strong to severe storms around.
The heat ridge looks to begin breaking down Memorial day or the next day.

Isolated to possibly scattered thunderstorms may develop towards Noon today through this afternoon. SPC has us under a 5% low end severe weather risk from any t-storms that do fire up…Looking dry from Tuesday through Sunday with only isolated thunderstorm chances in a few spots at best for Memorial day.
Big story is the heat coming late in the week right through Memorial day…heat ridge will bring Summer type heat by Friday and continue through memorial day. High temperatures around 90 degrees on Thursday will continue to rise to mid 90′s and possibly a few upper 90′s next weekend through memorial day. Record high temperatures are not out of the question. Humidity values will also increase making it very uncomfortable outside.
